Eleanor is named for Eleanor of Toledo and based on the visual language of Italian Renaissance portrait jewelry: gold fittings, a single pearl drop and a clean line near the face. In 16th century Italy, pearls could suggest status, respectability and marriage, but this is a modern interpretation, not antique jewelry or a documented museum replica.
