Livery collars and chains of office were used in medieval and Renaissance Europe as visible signs of office, allegiance or rank. This Ambrossio II version keeps the repeated collar rhythm and uses a Tudor-style quatrefoil medallion as a clear central focus, favoring lighter wear for modern reenactment, stage costume and long events.
