A lighter brass finish chain of office with ornate square links, round black resin cabochons and a hanging Golden Fleece badge. The fleece is the focus: it gives the collar its order related signal without needing a separate chest badge. Wear it over a dark doublet, robe or cloak when the upper part of the outfit still needs a clear historical emblem.

The Order of the Golden Fleece was founded in Bruges in 1430 by Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy. In historical dress, the hanging fleece was often the part people recognized first. This piece follows that idea with the fleece at the front, but it is historical-style jewelry, not an exact replica or official insignia.
