A brass tone livery collar made from alternating double fleur de lis connectors and hollow four-leaf clover links. Ludwig has no medallion, stones or front badge, so the effect comes from repeated open metalwork and a clean circular rhythm. At approx. 195 g., it gives a doublet, robe or cloak a clear heraldic finish without the heavier feel of fuller chains of office.

Late medieval and Renaissance livery collars often used repeated heraldic forms to make affiliation or office readable across the shoulders.
